I’m an operations and marketing leader with a passion for cities, technology, fitness, policy, and design. Some have called me “hilariously driven,” and I hope to make a meaningful mark on the world.

As one of Uber’s earliest employees, I was fortunate to experience firsthand what it’s like to grow a company from an idea to a verb. I developed teams across Operations, Brand, and Marketing to drive massive growth and impact. I learned from extraordinary, experienced leaders across all parts of the organization. And I found breakthrough, scalable solutions to tackle thousands of unique challenges along the way.

The road wasn’t always smooth, but it was instructive. Having learned from our remarkable success—and our missteps—I am more prepared than ever for my next challenge.

Today, I’m known as a principled leader with an obsession for the customer experience. I’m a proven, strong mediator who drives healthy cross-functional collaboration and alignment. And I’m considered an innovative problem solver with an intensely analytical approach.

Skills

Management and leadership. I’ve spent 5+ years managing multi-layered, multi-disciplinary teams. As Chief of Staff, I was responsible for nearly all organizational development, organization structure and strategy, change management, recruiting, talent management, and more for our 200+ employee marketing organization.

Marketing strategy and campaigns. I have substantial experience planning and executing content strategy, brand strategy, campaign strategy, and more. Executions range from viral campaigns (e.g. on-demand ice cream) to large-scale, multi-million dollar campaigns.

Grassroots and community. I’ve built, managed, and leveraged robust communities—in DC and elsewhere—for both rapid business growth and achieving policy aims.

Creative. I’m an exceptional writer (and it runs in the family): short-form, long-form, PR writing, speechwriting, communications copy, marketing/advertising copy, and more. And while not a professional, I’m also a hobbyist photographer and graphic designer. I’m proficient with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and I’m an outstanding presentation designer.

Technical abilities. I’ve self-taught a decent proficiency in web languages including HTML, CSS, and PHP. At Uber, I also taught myself SQL, how to navigate complex databases and data sets, and mid-level data analysis—to the point where I’ve actually given internal classes in basic SQL querying for Uber employees.

Speaking. I’m a strong public speaker and presenter, with formal training in college and substantial career experience. I’m comfortable with small and large groups, and I’ve spent much of my career working directly with C-level executives, both in groups and one-on-one.
