Since being here in England since October, I've come to bike so much, because there's no other viable option really. I live about a 20 minute walk from the city centre/libraries/etc but it takes just 5 minutes on a bike. There are some buses, but they are more aimed at commuters and I don't know any students who actually use them. Anyway, I've been pleasantly surprised by my biking experience here (and how much I enjoy it). I'd also already been planning to start biking more when I return to DC, now that I'm comfortable with street riding (growing up, I learned on abandoned country roads where I live, so never had to deal with traffic before).
