Yes, Bottled Water Really IS That Bad

Everyone’s heard of how bad bottled water is for the environment, for health standards, the global economy, etc. But how bad is it, really? This is one of the best infographics I’ve seen in a while, and it’s inspired me to make a new challenge for myself.

No more bottled water. None. Not even a little bit. From here on out, I’m either taking my own water, finding someone who bottles sustainably, or going thirsty. Honest Tea does a great job with packaging–they have glass and plastic bottles, and their plastic ones are “fully recyclable (PETE 1), Phthalates free, don’t leach, and require less energy to produce and ship. Additionally, they are not made with the chemical Bisphenol A (BPA).” It’s also tasty.

So who’s with me on my pledge? I’ve put the infographic below the cut, check it out.

Also: @thegoodhuman has shared this link with me from his Web site, “10 Reasons to Stop Drinking Bottled Water”. Awesome!
